Front desk
The room calendar shows who is in, who is arriving and which rooms are free. Click an empty night to book it, or a booking to check the guest in.
Restaurant & bar
Tap items, choose walk-in or a room guest, and take payment or add it to the room bill. The kitchen gets its ticket at the same time.
Billing
Room nights, restaurant orders and payments land on the right bill. See what's paid and what's still owed at a glance, and print a receipt or an A4 invoice.
Backups
Claviq backs up the whole hotel at 03:00 and checks every backup. Only your hotel's backup key can open them, so a copy that goes missing is useless to anyone else.
How it works
No server to rent and no IT company needed. One computer holds the hotel's data; the others connect to it.
Usually the front desk PC. Name your hotel, create your admin account and save your keys. It takes about five minutes.
Turn on LAN mode and the restaurant, bar or back-office computers find the main one by themselves. Approve each one with a 6-digit code.
Set up room types, your menu and printers, and give each staff member their own login. Then start taking bookings.

Yes. Every feature is included, for any number of rooms and staff, on your main computer plus up to 5 other computers. Free receipts carry a small "Powered by Claviq Hotel" line. A Pro plan for larger hotels (unlimited computers, no footer, support) is coming.
Only to download the app. Claviq runs on your own computer, and the other computers in the hotel connect to it over your local network, so the front desk keeps working when the internet is down.
On your main computer, in Claviq's own database. It isn't sent to us. Each install has its own passwords and keys, and backups are encrypted with your hotel's backup key.
Yes. Install Claviq on one main computer, turn on LAN mode, and the other computers connect over the hotel network. Each new computer must be approved on the main one, so a guest on your Wi-Fi can't get in.
Claviq makes an encrypted backup every night and keeps one for each of the last 7 days, 4 weeks and 12 months. Keep the backup key you printed at setup somewhere safe. Copying backups to a USB drive or OneDrive folder, and restoring them on a new computer, are coming in the next update.
Standard ESC/POS thermal receipt printers (58 mm and 80 mm, USB or network), which covers most receipt printers sold for shops and restaurants, the cash drawers plugged into them, and any normal printer for A4 invoices. No extra printing software is needed.
Yes. Receipts and kitchen tickets can include Sinhala and Tamil text, printed correctly on thermal printers.
Early versions aren't signed with Microsoft or Apple yet. On Windows choose More info → Run anyway. On a Mac, open the app once, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway. The download page shows each step.
Yes. Claviq also runs as a hosted cloud edition for hotels that want access from anywhere. Your data can be moved across. Contact us to talk about it.
